For
many centuries, Sea Buckthorn and its all-natural healing oil
have been successfully used to treat canker sores and other mucous-membrane-related
disorders
Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae
Rhamnoides) is known in China, Russia and Europe as one of
nature’s most incredible medicinal plants. Its small, bright orange
berries have been cherished for centuries for their truly incredible
healing, nutritive and therapeutic qualities. The richly colored
oil produced from Sea Buckthorn berries is so abundant in vitamins,
antioxidants, and other healing compounds that many believe Sea
Buckthorn must have been created by some ancient plant-breeder.
Sea Buckthorn berries have no match in the plant kingdom for their
content of carotenoids (pro-vitamin A), tocopherols (vitamin E),
phylloquinone (vitamin K), as well as other vitally important
healing and health-promoting vitamins, fatty acids, and microelements.
In traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicine, Sea
Buckthorn has always been synonymous with the health of mucous
membranes. The brightly-colored, rich oil made from its berries
(also called Sea Buckthorn berry oil, or fruit oil), used in China
for more than 12 centuries, has now been officially recognized
as a pharmaceutical healing agent for a wide array of medical
conditions ranging from aphthous stomatitis (canker sores) to
esophagitis and ulcerative colitis.
Medicinal uses of Sea Buckthorn oil are well documented
in Asia and Europe. Clinical tests on medicinal uses were first
performed in Russia during the 1950s. Sea Buckthorn oil was formally
listed in the Pharmacopoeia in 1977 and clinically tested
in Russia and China on numerous occasions. The most important
pharmacological functions attributed to Sea Buckthorn oil are
anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, pain relief, and promoting
regeneration of tissues. More than fifty different pharmaceutical
remedies have been developed from Sea Buckthorn in Asia and Europe;
these remedies are available in different forms, such as liquids,
powders, plasters, films, pastes, pills, liniments, suppositories,
and aerosols.
Canker sore relief: Sea Buckthorn
oil versus conventional medications as remedies for healing damaged
mucous membranes
During the past few decades scientists have carried
out extensive research on Sea Buckthorn. This has resulted in
an improved understanding of the health effects of its oil. It
was confirmed by many researchers worldwide that Sea Buckthorn
oil contains a uniquely rich complex of biologically active compounds,
including record quantities of vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols),
carotenoids (pro-vitamin A) and plant sterols. It also supplies
a full array of beneficial fatty acids, including record quantities
of anti-bacterial palmitoleic acid (also called omega-7), as well
as potent natural analgesic (pain-relieving) compounds (for detailed
information about the biologically active compounds present in
Sea Buckthorn oil, please press

Mucous membranes cover the inside of the mouth,
as well as the rest of the digestive, respiratory, and urogenital
tracts. They are often the major routes for pathogens and external
toxins and allergens to enter the body. They are also among the
most gentle and delicate tissues in our bodies, and, consequently,
are very prone to injury or trauma as a result of emotional or
physical stress, fatigue, or a toxic overload. When the natural
defenses of mucous membranes of the mouth become overloaded as
a result of a negative external influence or a vitamin/antioxidant
deficiency, it results in the formation of canker sores (also
known as aphthous ulcers).
Mucous membranes are constantly facing the challenges
of genetic deficiencies, stress, aging, side effects of medical
treatments, as well as environmental pollutants. As a result,
people often suffer from troubled mucous membranes, including
canker sores. Dryness, high sensitivity and inflammation are often
found even among those generally considered healthy. Furthermore,
conventional medical solutions to canker sores and other mucous
membrane problems are rather limited, mostly unsuccessful, and
often result in unwanted side effects.
For example, using topical steroids often prescribed
to canker sore sufferers may result in adrenal gland suppression,
elevated blood pressure, or even diabetes. Tetracycline and other
antibiotics taken orally or used in mouthwashes, in addition to
killing the beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, may cause
diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Even such “benign”
topical pain relievers as Anbesol or Orajel may produce such serious
side effects as difficulty breathing, dizziness, seizures, and
swelling of the face.
In contrast to these synthetic medications, all-natural
Sea Buckthorn oil provides quick pain relief and accelerated healing
of canker sores without any side effects. Extensive scientific
research and clinical studies have proven that, due to its unique
abundance in health-promoting bioactive components, Sea Buckthorn
oil is an effective natural remedy for canker sores and other
ulcerative disorders of mucous membranes [1].
I was really skeptical
at first…
I am a traditionally trained MD, so I am naturally
skeptical of any “home remedies”. However, your Sea Buckthorn
oil has made me a believer. My aphthous ulcers, which had been
bothering me for years, were completely gone in just 3 days!
Now I recommend Sea Buckthorn oil to all of
my patients suffering from aphthous stomatitis. For instant pain
relief and faster healing, there’s just no better alternative.
